2014 has been an exciting year for Flowcrete Australia and we are proud to have been involved in some stand out projects. I look forward to seeing what 2015 brings for Flowcrete Australia and our applicators.

To wrap up the year, I have listed my Top 4 Favourite 2014 Global Flowcrete Projects…

1) Fiona Stanley Hospital – Perth
This state-of-the-art hospital located in Western Australia earmarks a new era in Australian Healthcare. The $2 billion dollar hospital features exciting technology, including a fleet of automated guided vehicles, a 385-seat lecture theatre and an ICU Courtyard.

2) Galaxy SOHO – Beijing
This high-end commercial development in Beijing shows how terrazzo flooring can be utilised to create a simple, urban, high-end design aesthetic. This is not only one of my favourite 2014 projects due to its visual appeal, but also it’s environmental, green building goals.

3) JBR, The Beach – Dubai 
The perfect example of pairing flooring and wall coating within a car park environment to create an amazing first impression. JBR, The Beach in Dubai utilised Deckshield systems to provide a bright, welcoming environment, with clear designated zones and instructional signage. Gone are the days of boring dull car parks!

4) Sofitel So SPA – Dubai
The luxurious finish at the Sofitel So SPA in Downtown Dubai features a custom-made off-white terrazzo floor, featuring mother of pearl aggregates. The lavish Sofitel So SPA features a full range of equipment, treatment rooms, two hammams with private baths, scrub and deep relaxation rooms, as well as boasting both a dry sauna and steam room, making it the ultimate destination for relaxation.
