From Theory to Application: Contractors Shown the Ropes at Warsaw Workshop

Last month Flowcrete Poland hosted a technical training event for Flowcrete Norway and its approved contractors.

It was a very hot afternoon when the Norwegians, led by Flowcrete Norway’s Managing Director Endre Sohus, arrived in Warsaw on 15th of June. Despite the sweltering conditions, they found time for a short internal training session in the hotel’s conference room before heading out to dinner in the city’s Old Town.

The next day was packed with events – as was Flowcrete Poland’s conference room with participants. The morning began with a presentation on Flowfresh (the antimicrobial polyurethane flooring range), its benefits, application methodology and application suitability were among the topics covered.

After learning about the theoretical side, all the attendees went to the workshop for a practical lesson and to get their hands dirty with actually applying a batch of Flowfresh that had been prepared by Flowcrete Poland’s technical advisors. This was a great opportunity for flooring applicators to exchange their knowledge with experienced Flowcrete technical advisors and to learn some tricks of the trade from them.

Before going back to the office for lunch, all the participants were able to visit Flowcrete Poland’s factory where, among others, Flowfresh and Deckshield products are manufactured.

After the factory tour and lunch, a presentation about epoxy and MMA flooring began. The talk focused on Peran STB and Flowfast Quartz – all-purpose, durable and aesthetically attractive floors for industrial and commercial areas. The presentation was followed by a workshop demonstration on how to apply these systems on site.

After a very busy day of flooring training, the attendees went out to a bar to watch an exciting game of football between Germany and Poland (which however ended with in a goalless draw).

Barbara Radziwon, the Managing Director of Flowcrete Poland, said: “We were very happy to host Flowcrete Norway and their contractors in Poland. We believe that international cooperation inside the Flowcrete Group is very important and is beneficial for every party involved.

Endre Shus, the Managing Director of Flowcrete Norway, said: “I would like to thank the Flowcrete Poland team for their wonderful hospitality during our stay in Poland. We all had a fantastic time in beautiful Warsaw and would love to come back in the future.”
