Flowcrete Middle East recently attended the Gulfood Manufacturing 2014 event, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 9-11th November.
Visitors from across the Middle East, as well as many from Africa and India, gathered around the Flowcrete stand throughout the duration of the three day exhibition.
The resin flooring specialist was in attendance to showcase its range of hygienic Flowfresh antimicrobial flooring, with many visitors taking a huge interest in the company’s innovative product sample which was created in collaboration with Unitech and demonstrated a Flowfresh floor finish, coving and also live water drainage.
Attendees were fascinated as our expert team explained that the correct flooring specification is essential in order to avoid floor failure in the food and beverage (F&B) industry. For example epoxy flooring is a hardwearing and durable material, however it is not necessarily suitable for F&B applications as it is more brittle in nature than polyurethane (PU), meaning that movement caused by temperature changes can adversely affect the finish. This is why Flowcrete offers a range of PU systems that boast superior flexible properties that are better able to cope with substrate movement.
Such movement of the substrate can be caused by hot and cold wash downs, freezing cold rooms and sweltering oven heat, making a flexible yet durable flooring system a must in the F&B production sector.
The large hanging Flowcrete banner above the stand made it impossible for visitors to miss the team and everybody who stopped by for a chat was offered a free printed copy of Flowcrete’s new eBook ‘Avoiding Floor Failure in the Food and Beverage Industry’.
