This May, the team at Flowcrete South Africa headed to the Food and Hospitality Exhibition at the Gallagher Convention Centre in South Africa. The show was bigger and better than ever, combining IFEA with the Hostex Exhibition to create a much larger event involving more exhibitors and visitors!
The three-day exhibition was busier than we expected and the Flowcrete stand saw a lot of interest from a range of business owners.
What we found out!
- Attendees voiced how they had grown tired of using tiles for back of house and food processing areas and that they were looking for alternatives to use for future projects.
- The Department of Health in South Africa are becoming stricter with their audits and are recommending the use of epoxy and polyurethane coatings in food processing environments.
- Hardwearing resin systems are becoming a popular choice for busy food processing plants where the floors are subjected to physical impacts, point loading and traffic from equipment such as heavily laden pallet trolleys and forklift trucks.
- We did notice a great deal of interest in our commercial flooring range for front-of-house areas in restaurants and shops.
We had a great time at this show and you’ll definitely be seeing us there again next year! If you’d like to pick up a conversation started at the exhibition please get in touch.
